Success story - Binney

A very unlucky black cat was dumped in a rubbish bin outside Greggs in Kingstanding, but luckily a good Samaritan heard his cries for help. He rescued the cat and carried him to Lydons vets on Kingstanding Road.

Binney had a tough start in life
Receptionist Sharon Mosley got in touch with Alan Hillier to see if we had room for the hastily named Binney, who was about 4 months old, unneutered, and unchipped. Binney passed all his blood tests, had his bits removed and, after recovering from the anaesthetic and a sleepy day or two, found a temporary home with a Cats Protection fosterer.

When Binney’s story was featured in the local paper, a reader responded and offered to adopt him. Sadly Binney’s happiness was shortlived as the home on offer already had a ‘resident cat’ that wasn't impressed by the new arrival. Binney had to return to Cats Protection again and crossed his paws for another kind person to offer him his forever home.

At last, we are glad to report that Binney has again been homed, and we hope for his sake that this time he won’t be coming back!

Good luck Binney!
